Amazon Prime Day 2022 takes place in July, and deals are already popping up in anticipation of the big Amazon sales event. Those deals include headphones and wireless earbuds, and we've already found savings on plenty of products that we've personally tested.

To partake in Amazon's Prime Day 2022, you'll need an Amazon Prime account. If you aren't already a member, Amazon offers a free 30-day trial. Once the trial period is over, Amazon Prime is $14.99 per month, or $139.99 per year for a Prime Annual account. 

Amazon Prime includes free two-day or same-day shipping. It also includes Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Try Before You Buy (formerly Prime Wardrobe), and other perks. 

Though not as portable, over-ear and on-ear headphones can offer better sound quality and noise-cancelling performance. This makes them ideal for at-home, in-office listening, commuting, as well as taking phone calls or video calls — but not working out.

Wireless earbuds can offer incredible sound considering their small size. Many models include noise cancelling, and they're best suited for phone use. Their small size makes them ideal for working out, but we'd specifically recommend models with water or sweat resistance.

Thanks to the fidelity of wired connections, these headphones can transmit more audio data than wireless Bluetooth ones. With that, they can offer better sound quality than wireless headphones, especially if the source device supports higher fidelities and bit rates.
