Soundcore claims to have solved a prime issue with TWS earbuds intended for use while training, which is that they essentially become disposable due to not much more than exposure to sweat. However, the days of risking having to throw away pair after pair is apparently over now the new Sport X10s are here.
Anker's audio subsidiary touts the Sport X10 buds as more resilient and long-lasting in this way not merely due to an IPX7 rating but to extra added Soundcore SweatGuard technology. Besides that, the X10s boast 10mm "high-sensitivity" drivers with more in-house BassUp features, as well as comprehensive in-app EQ settings, for theoretically enhanced audio quality.
Soundcore does not presume to rate the X10s for ANC, although it does claim that hybrid noise-cancellation, a Transparency mode, clearer voice-calling and wind-reduction are present thanks to their 6-mic array. Otherwise, they also have the extra, often-welcome feature of a hook per bud to stabilize them during increasingly vigorous exercise.
The brand may have also improved on this aspect of sports audio peripherals with a new type of hook with a joint that allows them to spin around, in a way that allows them to be tucked around each earbud when not in use or in their charging case.
On that note, the Sport X10 earbuds are estimated to last for 8 hours on battery power or 32 in total with the case. They support Bluetooth 5.2, yet seem resistricted to the AAC and SBC codices. They have launched in Black, Oat White and a vibrant Red (with red hinge accents regardless of colorway), although the latter may not become available until August 2022.
The other options are or should become available on Amazon in the EU, the UK or North America imminently, priced at €100, £89 or US$90 respectively.
