High-quality sound with stunning design packed into a comfortable gaming headset.

Comfort and quality sound are must-haves when it comes to a great gaming headset. The EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro Gaming Headset seeks to give you a more immersive experience that’s comfortable enough to wear for marathon gaming sessions. But how well does it actually perform? I spent a week testing out this stylish headset to see if they work as well as promised.

The EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro Gaming Headset features a sci-fi design with RGB backlights on each earphone. The memory foam ear cushions not only provide optimal comfort, but help improve sound isolation. The adjustable headband is even cushioned to ensure players get even more comfort. The 3.94 in. x 3.53 in. with 1.1 in. earphones have ear cushions that fit most gamers very well.

With USB, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio cables, the headset is compatible with most any device. It’s designed to work with PCs, mobile devices, Playstation, Xbox, and Switch. Whatever your preferred gaming platform, they’ll likely work as long as the device supports wired headsets.

The real star is the 7.1 surround sound with 55 mm driver that also boasts enhanced bass rendering. Enjoy a far more immersive experience with accurate positional audio along with proximity cues.

The detachable, adjustable mic uses an AI-powered ENC chip to reduce background noise for clear communications to not only can you hear other players, but to be heard clearer than ever.

It’s easy to switch between surround sound and stereo sound at the tap of a button. Whether you’re gaming or listening to music, you’ll get the best possible sound. You can also mute the mic and adjust the volume with ease.

Everything you need to connect to your favorite gaming system is included in the box. The EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro Gaming Headset is stored in a soft drawstring bag to keep it clean and safe between uses. There’s also a mic, three cables, and instructions.

When pulling the headset out of the box, I notice the caged grill on the earphones resembled a spacecraft. Once plugged in, the vibrant green behind each grill easily illuminated a darkened room and looked amazing.

The instructions are simple. They guide you on which cable to use with which devices. For example, a USB-C to USB-C works great for mobile devices.

I had no issues connecting the headset to my Android phone nor my Nintendo Switch. It was immediately recognized, and with a few volume adjustments, I was ready to start playing. It’s important to pay close attention to how you connect the mic, though. While it looks like it would plug in to the left earphone in either direction, it doesn’t snap into place fully unless turned the right way.

Adjusting the headband was easy enough. It takes a slight bit of force to adjust, which is normal. Once adjusted, I couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable fit. Usually, headbands irritate my scalp and even give me a headache after a while, which is why I normally stick with behind-the-head or around-the-neck earphones.

The EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro Gaming Headset was a pleasant surprise. Even after a few hours of playing, I had zero issues. It felt as comfortable as when I first put them on.

All the buttons are easy to reach on the left earphone. I will admit, though, that if you want to switch between stereo and surround sound, you’ll likely bump the volume control.

The 7.1 surround sound works beautifully. You can hear even the softest sounds; though, if you’re playing a game with a lot of loud explosions, you may need to adjust the volume to get a good balance between louder and softer sounds.

As promised, it felt as if I were in the game. I could tell where sounds were coming from more easily versus just blanket noise. Plus, while I could hear the occasional sound around me, most background noise was non-existent. I also could hear other players with no issues.

I have to say that I had a better experience using these than other gaming headsets. Thanks to them being more comfortable, I was able to use them for longer periods and enjoy having immersive experiences that I didn’t have to end after 15 to 30 minutes due to a headband digging in or the earphone pads not fitting properly.

When switching to stereo sound, the bass isn’t as pronounced, but honestly, that’s the only real negative I could find.

The next test was the mic. After all, if you can’t communicate with other players, it’s hard to be a real part of the action. The mic adjusts to most any angle you could possibly want.

I don’t always play in the quietest room, so having a mic that helps block out background noise is a must-have. With the EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro Gaming Headset, I didn’t have to keep the mic super close to my mouth to ensure everyone could hear me without interference. This one picked up my voice without everything else. And yes, my friends I play with often noticed the change.

The EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro Gaming Headset not only looks amazing but sounds great too. It fits comfortably for hours of use and is compatible with most systems. Plus, with a removable mic that drastically reduces background noise, this headset more than delivers on what’s promised.

You can try the EKSA Star Engine E5000 Pro Gaming Headset yourself for $99.99, though it’s currently on sale for just $59.49, making it an incredible deal for the quality.
